EPS-TOPIK and TOPIK are different Korean-language tests. The right one depends on the programme or institution you are applying to. Check its exact requirement before choosing books or registering for an exam.

Which test should a Pakistani learner choose?
If you are following an OEC announcement for EPS recruitment, use the exact test named in that announcement and the official EPS materials. If you are applying to a university or another programme, read its admission or application requirements. Do not assume that every Korean job or visa route uses the same language test.
Before paying for a course or exam, write down three things: the requesting organisation, the full test name, and the required result or level. Ask that organisation if any of those details are unclear.
Can one result replace the other?
Do not treat the certificates as interchangeable. They belong to separate systems. Only the organisation handling your application can confirm what evidence it accepts. Passing a language test does not by itself establish eligibility for a job, university place or visa.
Do the study materials overlap?
Basic Hangul, everyday vocabulary and sentence patterns can help across Korean learning goals. However, test preparation should also address the format and tasks you will actually face. For EPS-TOPIK, include workplace situations and the official textbook materials. For TOPIK II, do not neglect writing simply because an EPS practice app concentrates on other skills.
Paper-based and internet-based TOPIK formats have different specifications. Check the current NIIED test overview for the version you intend to take.
