Free EPS-TOPIK Mock Test: Practice and Review Guide

Use a free EPS-TOPIK mock test to practise answering Korean questions under time pressure, then turn your mistakes into your next study session. TopikPro is free for everyone: there is no paid plan or subscription.

Ready to practise?

Open the free TopikPro app and choose Mock Exam. Use the available vocabulary, grammar and listening activities to review afterwards. A free account is needed for AI tutoring and saving progress.

What is the current EPS-TOPIK test format?

HRD Korea’s published overview lists 40 questions in 50 minutes, with 20 reading questions and 20 listening questions. Each section has 25 minutes and 50 marks, for a total of 100. Check the notice for your own test session for its instructions.

Some practice tools, including TopikPro screens, may show a score out of 200. That is a practice scale, not the official scale in the current HRD Korea overview. Compare your percentage correct and errors by topic; do not treat an app score as an official result or a prediction of selection.

How to take a useful practice test

  1. Choose a quiet session. Check your sound before starting. Keep your dictionary closed during the timed attempt.
  2. Read the instructions. Check the test length, timer and audio controls. A practice tool’s behaviour may differ from the real test.
  3. Complete the attempt. Record how many answers were correct and which questions were guesses.
  4. Review the reason for each mistake. Separate unknown words, grammar, missed listening details and time pressure.
  5. Practise that skill before the next full test. Repeating a familiar test can measure memory for its answers rather than improvement in Korean.

Make a mistake log you can actually use

Copy this small table into a notebook. Include answers you guessed correctly, because those are still uncertain skills.

How often should you take mock tests?

Use your results to decide. Beginners who cannot yet read Hangul benefit from short reading and vocabulary tasks first. Once you can follow basic questions, a full attempt can establish a baseline. Later, leave enough time between attempts to review errors. A test every two or three days is one possible routine, not a requirement or a promise of passing.

For a balanced routine, use our EPS-TOPIK preparation guide. If numbers are a weak point, start with Korean numbers and their uses.

Where can I find official sample questions?

HRD Korea provides reading and listening sample materials, answer files and listening audio. These help you understand question types. HRD Korea explains that actual test questions are confidential; public practice questions are learning resources, not a list of questions guaranteed to appear.

Can a mock-test result tell me whether I will pass?

No. A practice result tells you how you performed on that particular set. Official selection also depends on the relevant test notice and ranking rules. Read our guide to EPS-TOPIK scores and ranking and avoid treating a single mock score as a guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

Is TopikPro’s mock-test practice free?

Yes. The platform is free for everyone, with no paid upgrades. You can repeat the available practice activities. Free registration is needed for account features such as saved progress and AI tutoring.

Should I study answers or the reasons behind them?

Study the reason. Write down the word, sentence ending or listening detail that led to the correct answer, then try a different example. Memorising an answer number will not help with a new question.

What if my score stops improving?

Look for repeated error categories. Spend the next session on your weakest category rather than immediately taking another full test. If a question or explanation seems incorrect, send TopikPro the details.
