At review, the standard-textbook page lists the 2024 revised books alongside older materials. Its Korean-language page also notes corrections made in June 2026. Use the current files shown on the official page rather than relying only on a file’s name in a shared folder.

Which book should I start with?

The new standard series has Book 1 for daily-life Korean and Book 2 for workplace Korean. A beginner can start with the introductory material and build forward. If you already read Korean, use practice questions to identify the lessons you need to revisit.

A translated self-study book can be helpful for explanations, but check its edition before treating its chapter numbers as identical to those in a newer standard book. Keep the edition and volume written on the front of your study notebook.

How to download the right files

  1. Open the official textbook-download link above.
  2. Select the title of the book you need. The page may use Korean labels even when the navigation is in English.
  3. Open its detail page and use the provided file link.
  4. Return to the list and find the listening files for the same volume.
  5. Open one lesson and play its matching track before organising the rest of your downloads.

Useful labels: 듣기 means listening, 정답 means answers, and 지문 refers to a passage or text. Check the surrounding title so you know whether you are opening a textbook, transcript or answer file.

A simple folder system

Keep each edition separate. Inside its folder, use three sections: book, audio and your notes. Record the official source link and the date you downloaded it. If the publisher updates a file, compare the new version before replacing your study copy.

For every lesson, note the book title, lesson number, page and track number. This small habit prevents the common problem of reading one version while listening to another.

Turn one lesson into an active study session

  1. Preview: look at the topic and pictures. Write down what you expect to hear.
  2. Read: mark a small set of unfamiliar words. Try to understand the sentence before translating every word.
  3. Listen: play the matching recording with the book closed, then check the text.
  4. Recall: cover the translation and explain the key words in Urdu or English.
  5. Apply: write two short sentences using the lesson’s pattern.
  6. Review: revisit difficult items the next day and later in the week.

For a weekly routine, follow our EPS-TOPIK preparation guide. Use Korean-number practice when a lesson involves quantities, prices or time.

Are official sample questions the real exam questions?

No. HRD Korea says the public questions are study references for understanding question types. Actual questions are developed confidentially. Learn the language and reasoning behind an answer instead of expecting a downloaded question to appear unchanged.

Frequently asked questions

Can I study using only a PDF?

A PDF helps with reading, but pair it with the matching audio for listening. Reading a transcript silently does not practise understanding speech.

Where is the Urdu version?

This guide does not claim an official Urdu edition. Use the language options actually available on HRD Korea’s pages. TopikPro provides separate Urdu-supported practice; it is not an official translation of the textbook.

Do I need to pay TopikPro to use these links?

No. The links lead directly to the official publisher. TopikPro’s own study resources are also free for everyone.

Practise what you study.

Open the free TopikPro app for vocabulary, grammar, flashcards and mock-test practice. Use our mock-test review guide to make the results useful.
