Build your Korean workplace vocabulary with 30 useful words, Urdu and English meanings, and short examples. This is a starter lesson for EPS-TOPIK learners, not an official question list or a complete syllabus.
روزانہ پانچ الفاظ سیکھیں۔ پہلے کوریائی لفظ پڑھیں، پھر اس کا مطلب دیکھیں۔ اگلے دن ترجمہ چھپا کر خود سے جواب دیں۔ صرف الفاظ یاد کرنے کے بجائے چھوٹے جملوں میں بھی مشق کریں۔
How to use this vocabulary lesson
Read the Hangul first and cover the translation. Say the meaning in Urdu or English, then check it. Use dictionary recordings for pronunciation: English or Urdu spellings cannot represent every Korean sound accurately. Learn five words at a time and mix old words into each review.

Put the words into simple sentences
These are original learning examples. Read the whole sentence before looking at its meaning.
- 저는 공장에서 일해요. — I work in a factory. میں کارخانے میں کام کرتا / کرتی ہوں۔
- 장갑을 끼세요. — Put on gloves. دستانے پہنیں۔
- 안전모를 쓰세요. — Wear a safety helmet. حفاظتی ہیلمٹ پہنیں۔
- 여기는 위험해요. — This place is dangerous. یہ جگہ خطرناک ہے۔
- 상자는 창고에 있어요. — The box is in the warehouse. ڈبہ گودام میں ہے۔
- 오후에 쉬어요. — I rest in the afternoon. میں دوپہر کے بعد آرام کرتا / کرتی ہوں۔
Notice that Korean uses different verbs with different things you wear: 끼다 with gloves and 쓰다 with a helmet in these examples. Learn the small phrase together, not just the isolated noun.
Recognise a common sign
출입 금지 means entry is prohibited or “No entry.” 금지 marks a prohibition; do not confuse it with 주의, which signals caution or attention. This page teaches vocabulary only; always follow the actual workplace’s safety training and signs.
A five-question self-test
Answer before opening the explanation. These are TopikPro practice questions, not official EPS-TOPIK exam items.
- Which word means warehouse: 회사, 창고 or 직원?
- What does 내일 mean?
- In 장갑을 끼세요, what should you put on?
- Does 출입 금지 allow you to enter?
- Which word describes leaving work: 출근 or 퇴근?
Show answers and explanations
- 창고 is warehouse. 회사 is company; 직원 is employee.
- Tomorrow. In Urdu, use آنے والا کل to distinguish it from yesterday.
- Gloves. 장갑 is the item; 끼세요 is the polite instruction in this sentence.
- No. The sign prohibits entry.
- 퇴근. 출근 refers to going to work; 퇴근 to leaving work.
Make a seven-day review plan
Learn five new words on each of the first six days. At the start of each session, recall yesterday’s words without looking. On day seven, mix all 30, write down the ones you miss, and create one simple sentence for each difficult word. Repeat a smaller set if 30 is too much; accurate recall matters more than the size of the list.
Next, practise Korean numbers and follow the EPS-TOPIK study plan. For structured lessons and audio, use the official textbook resource guide.
