The EPS-TOPIK passing score and the final selection cut-off are different things. A minimum mark can determine who is eligible for consideration, while the result for a particular round depends on its published selection rules. Use the official announcement for your country and sector instead of treating an old internet score as a universal target.
Check which scoring scale you are reading
HRD Korea’s current test overview uses a 100-point total. Older articles and some practice tools use 200. Always check the denominator before comparing two scores.
For example, 70 out of 100 and 140 out of 200 are both 70%. This is a mathematical comparison only: two different question sets can have different difficulty, so equal percentages do not prove equal exam readiness.
Minimum mark, cut-off and employment are separate
| Term | What to check |
|---|---|
| Minimum qualifying mark | The required minimum stated for your round or sector. |
| Selection cut-off | The published outcome after candidates are assessed under that round’s rules. |
| Next-stage eligibility | Whether further assessments, documents or procedures are required. |
| Employment or visa outcome | Separate official processes; a language-test result is not a job or visa guarantee. |
HRD Korea describes score-based selection among candidates above the relevant minimum, within the number selected. Do not assume that meeting a minimum means you have completed the entire recruitment process.
Where should Pakistani candidates check results?
Start with the current result announcement on OEC’s official website. Check that the announcement is for your test type and round. The HRD Korea EPS-TOPIK portal also provides result and test information.
- Match the announcement to your test round.
- Read the instructions for viewing your result.
- Use the official result link rather than sending identity information to an unofficial helper.
- Read the next-stage instructions and dates separately.
- Keep your result and the notice together for reference.
When will my result be released?
Use the date announced for your session. This guide does not predict a release date. If a date changes, rely on the newer official notice rather than a cached search snippet or an older screenshot.
What should I do after a practice result?
Track the percentage correct, your uncertain answers and your weakest topics. Use our mock-test mistake log to turn a score into specific practice tasks. A score based on repeated questions can rise because you remember answers, so include unfamiliar examples when reviewing progress.
Build a balanced routine with the preparation guide, and check the exam overview for official resource links.
Frequently asked questions
Is there one passing score for everyone?
Do not assume a universal figure. The relevant official notice and selection rules are the source for your round. A minimum and a final cut-off are not interchangeable.
Does a high score guarantee a job?
No. A language score does not guarantee an employer selection, visa or departure date.
How long can I use my result?
Check the validity period and any separate roster deadlines in your official result and sending-agency instructions. Do not infer a guaranteed waiting time or employment date from a validity period.
