EPS-TOPIK Master ("we", "our", "us") is operated by QodeHive, based in Pakistan. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle your personal information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Data We Collect
We collect only the data we actually need to run the platform and help you learn Korean. Nothing is collected for advertising or sold to third parties.
Information you provide directly
- Account details: Your name, email address, and (optionally) your phone number when you sign up.
- Profile preferences: Your language choice (English or Urdu), dark mode setting, and study goals.
- Learning progress: Words you've learned, lessons you've completed, mock exam scores, flashcard history, and streak data.
- AI Tutor conversations: Questions you ask the AI tutor and its responses (see section 5).
Information collected automatically
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, screen size.
- Usage data: Which pages you visit, how long you study, what features you use — to improve the product.
- IP address: Used for security and to detect suspicious login attempts. Not used to track you across the web.
We never collect: Your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photo library, or any data beyond what's listed above.
User Accounts
To use the full features of EPS-TOPIK Master, you create an account with your email address and a password.
- Passwords are hashed: We never store your password in plain text. We use industry-standard bcrypt hashing, which means even we can't see your actual password.
- One account per person: Please don't share your account credentials. Accounts are tied to individual learners.
- Account deletion: You can request to delete your account at any time by emailing us at support@qodehive.com. We will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 14 days of your request.
Payment Information
We accept payments through trusted Pakistani payment processors: EasyPaisa, JazzCash, and PayFast.pk, plus Stripe for international users.
- We never see your card or wallet credentials. Payments are processed directly by our payment providers on their own secure servers.
- What we store: Your subscription plan, payment history (dates and amounts), and a unique transaction ID from the payment processor. We do not store card numbers, CVV codes, or mobile wallet PINs.
- Refunds: See our Terms of Service for refund policies.
Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies sparingly and only for functionality you'd expect:
- Session cookies: To keep you logged in while you use the app.
- Preference cookies: To remember your language and dark mode settings.
- Analytics cookies: We use privacy-friendly analytics (no personal IDs, no cross-site tracking) to understand which features are popular and what to build next.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or share data with ad networks like Google Ads or Facebook Pixel. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may stop working correctly.
AI Tutor Usage
Our AI Korean Tutor uses the Anthropic Claude API to answer your questions. Here's what you should know:
- Your questions are sent to Anthropic's servers (based in the USA) to generate responses. They are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
- Anthropic does not use your conversations to train their AI models (per their API policy for commercial customers).
- We store conversation history on our servers so you can review past questions and continue conversations. You can delete your AI Tutor history at any time from your Settings.
- Don't share sensitive personal information with the AI tutor — things like your passport number, bank details, or confidential exam answers. Keep conversations focused on learning Korean.
Free users have limited AI Tutor queries per day. Pro users have unlimited access.
How We Share Data
We share your data only with service providers we need to run the platform, and only the minimum necessary. These include:
- Hosting & infrastructure: Our servers are hosted on reputable cloud providers (currently Hostinger, with plans to migrate to Vercel and Supabase).
- Payment processors: EasyPaisa, JazzCash, PayFast.pk, and Stripe handle payment transactions.
- AI provider: Anthropic (for the AI Tutor feature, as described above).
- Email service: We use an email delivery service to send you login confirmations, payment receipts, and important account notices.
We will never sell your personal data to third parties. Period.
If we are legally required to disclose data (for example, by a court order from Pakistani authorities), we will comply with the minimum information necessary and, where legally permitted, notify you first.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Correct your data: Update your profile information anytime from the app's Settings.
- Delete your data: Request full deletion of your account and associated data.
- Export your data: Download your learning progress in a standard format.
- Object to processing: Tell us to stop using your data for certain purposes.
- Withdraw consent: Cancel your subscription and stop using the service at any time.
